Take Action
on World No Tobacco Day

WRITE TO CONGRESS TO BAN CHILDREN WORKING IN TOBACCO FIELDS

May 31st is World No Tobacco Day, and we're asking you to write to Congress to ask them to support the Children Don't Belong on Tobacco Farms bill.

When children work in direct contact with toxic tobacco plants or dried tobacco leaves, it puts their health at risk, making it a form of oppressive child labor. Exposure to tobacco and nicotine can result in serious symptoms, including nausea, vomiting, loss of appetite, headaches, dizziness, skin rashes, difficulty breathing, and irritation to their eyes and mouths. But in the United States, there is no federal law banning children from working with toxic crops: we want to end this harmful practice.

This site has been created by the Kailash Satyarthi Children's Foundation US on behalf of the Campaign to End US Child Labor.
